31 Manicure Challenge: #7 (Black & White Nails)

Hello everybody! I know it's been a really long time since my last post, but this semester has been CRAZY busy! I guess that's what happens during your senior year of college haha. I hope all of you guys are doing well and are ready to enjoy this Black & White manicure challenge I have prepared for you!

I was watching the show "Fringe" while I was thinking of what to do for this challenge and fingerprints popped into my head! The white color is OPI Alpine Snow and the black color is Revlon Black Satin. And yes those are my real fingerprints on my nails haha. I know this manicure isn't very "cute", but it was new and different and I think they turned out pretty cool! Let me know what you think in the reactions/comments below! Thanks for stopping by!

31 Manicure Challenge: #6 (Violet Nails)

Today I am posting the purple challenge! I'm really excited about this one because it was my first time successfully using striping tape! I hope you guys enjoy it too :)

The solid purple color is OPI Planks A Lot (bottle featured here). The base coat on the accent nails is Orly Au Champagne. After the base coat was dry, I used the striping tape I ordered from bornprettystore.com and painted on the purples. From lightest to darkest these colors are: Essie Lilacism, OPI Planks A Lot, ULTA Celebutant, and A-England Elaine.

The bottle in the picture below is the darkest of the purples (A-England Elaine).

31 Manicure Nail Challenge: #5 (Blue Nails)

Hello everybody! So this manicure sort of has a duel purpose. It is blue so it fits in with the fifth manicure challenge, and it is also themed! My sister, my Mom and I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium this weekend, and this manicure features the aquarium logo, and some sequins that represent the anchovies (my mom likes how they swim in schools together). I hope you enjoy it :)

The blue color is Essie Avenue Maintain, and the white is OPI Alpine Snow. The diamond sequins (anchovies) are from bornprettystore.com and I printed the logo out on paper and cut it out and stuck it on the wet polish. 31 Manicure Challenge: #4 (Green Nails)

Hello everyone!! It is so great to finally get back to painting my nails and sharing and social networking with all of you! I really have missed this. This is the green nails challenge, and I'm sorry to say it's not very imaginative or creative. I was really having a bit of a creativity block with this one (I always seem to have a difficult time with green). Hopefully the next manicure will be much more exciting for you guys, but I hope you enjoy this one anyway :) I have created a second Instagram account exclusively for my nail pictures so those of you that were following me before, I have changed the name on that account. If you would like to continue seeing my nail polish pictures on Instagram, and not random pictures from the rest of my life, follow me!! So this manicure started with Essie Going Incognito, then I sponged on some A-England Saint George (which may be one of my favorite colors ever) this is hard to see under the layering glitter, but in my other pictures you can vaguely see it. I added these multi-chrome blue/green flakies on top; Nfu Oh NFU50. These kept coming off really blue in most of my photos, but trust me I did use green polishes for this challenge.

31 Manicure Challenge: #3 (Yellow Nails)

Hello again! So I know that these posts are not exactly happening every week as I had originally planned... We are coming up on finals and things have just gotten way too crazy! This week is yellow nails which usually presents a bit of a challenge for me. I really don't like using yellow as a base color for my manicures, but this one turned out alright. enjoy :)

I am so sorry for the messy clean up job!! I watched The Lion King today and was inspired. I started with ULTA Sun-Sational for the base, then I sponged on Essie Braziliant and ULTA Red Carpet Red. I added some freehand painting...yes that is supposed to be a giraffe lol...freehand painting is not my forte. That black polish is Revlon Black Satin. Anyway, that's all for today folks! 31 Manicure Challenge: #2 (Orange Nails)

Hello everyone!! It's so good to be back!! I broke a couple of my nails a while back, so I have been waiting for them to grow back enough to where I could create this next post for you guys! enjoy :)

I used Essie Braziliant for my featured orange color, and OPI Alpine Snow for the white. I then used that same orange with the BM308 stamping plate to add some orange slices to my orange themed manicure! 

31 Manicure Challenge: #1 (Red Nails)

Hello everybody!! I have decided to start the 31 Day Challenge over again! I took this challenge on last January, and did every day in the order that they were originally posted. This time around, I don't have the time it takes to change my manicure every day. So what I've decided to do is do the manicures in order, but I'm going to do one each week. So without further ado, this week is Red Nails! enjoy :)

So I started with the star of our show A-England Perceval. This is my favorite red in my collection! I love the intensity and the shimmer. Then I stamped on China Glaze Passion on the BM-314 plate. Then I added some dots of Orly Au Champagne to finish it up! I hope you like it!

NOTD: Birds Of A Feather

Oh my goodness it has been so very long since my last post, life has just been way too crazy!! I hope this new post finds you all in good health and spirits! Today I have my first ever feathers manicure for you to check out, enjoy :)

I started with two coats of Orly Au Champagne for my base. I have been wanting this color for such a long time, and I am IN LOVE! It is this really cool pearly white color with a matte finish. I took a picture with an iPhone and I'll post it below, but I will probably do a full swatting post of this color at some point in the near future. (I'm really going to try to start cranking out blog posts more often again).

After that dried, I applied one top coat and stuck the feathers on while it was still wet. Then I added another top coat and cut/filed off the excess feathers. Lastly, I added one more top coat to give it a smooth and glossy finish, and voila! I'm really happy with the way this manicure turned out.
