31 Manicure Challenge: #7 (Black & White Nails)

Hello everybody! I know it's been a really long time since my last post, but this semester has been CRAZY busy! I guess that's what happens during your senior year of college haha. I hope all of you guys are doing well and are ready to enjoy this Black & White manicure challenge I have prepared for you!

I was watching the show "Fringe" while I was thinking of what to do for this challenge and fingerprints popped into my head! The white color is OPI Alpine Snow and the black color is Revlon Black Satin. And yes those are my real fingerprints on my nails haha. I know this manicure isn't very "cute", but it was new and different and I think they turned out pretty cool! Let me know what you think in the reactions/comments below! Thanks for stopping by!

PS: I just noticed that this is my 100th post on this blog!!  :)

31 Manicure Challenge: #3 (Yellow Nails)

Hello again! So I know that these posts are not exactly happening every week as I had originally planned... We are coming up on finals and things have just gotten way too crazy! This week is yellow nails which usually presents a bit of a challenge for me. I really don't like using yellow as a base color for my manicures, but this one turned out alright. enjoy :)

I am so sorry for the messy clean up job!! I watched The Lion King today and was inspired. I started with ULTA Sun-Sational for the base, then I sponged on Essie Braziliant and ULTA Red Carpet Red. I added some freehand painting...yes that is supposed to be a giraffe lol...freehand painting is not my forte. That black polish is Revlon Black Satin. Anyway, that's all for today folks! Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to comment, check the reaction boxes, and share with your friends!!

NOTD: Move In Day!!

Hello everyone, some of you may know that I just moved in to my new home in the dorms at CSU Northridge :) This manicure is a little messy because I was having a lot of trouble with the stamp I was using for some reason :/ but it was inspired by my bedspread in my new room! So let's get right to it, enjoy!

So this manicure started with OPI Alpine Snow. Then I stamped a sort of fake watermarble design from plate BM320 using Revlon Black Satin. Then I added a touch of teal by adding dots of A-Englang Galahad.

And below, you can see the inspiration for this manicure! Thanks for stopping by! :)

NOTD: A Day at the Zoo

Hello everybody! I know it's been a while since my last manicure, but I am happy to tell you that I am back with a fun manicure that was inspired by my trip to the San Francisco Zoo with my mom, sister, grandma, aunt, and cousins this past Saturday. We had an awesome time, and I decided to use some of my stamping plates to make an animal print manicure! Today's post will feature this mani, but I have also included some pictures from our day at the zoo. enjoy :)

This is me and my sister riding a lion haha :)

Anyway, down to my nails!! The giraffe print nails started with a color that I mixed together. I mixed A-England Holy Grail and Essie Action. Then I used Sally Hansen Forbidden Fudge to stamp on the prints from BM313. The Cheetah print nail started with A-England Holy Grail as a base, and I used Revlon Black Satin with stamping plate m57.

I started the tiger nail with Essie Brazilliant, and used Revlon Black Satin on plate BM16. And last, but not least, the Zebra nail started with OPI Alpine Snow, and I used Revlon Black Satin on plate m57 for the print.

I hope you guys enjoyed this manicure and let me know what you think in the reactions boxes below!! Here are some of my favorite pictures from our zoo adventure.

NOTD: Wild Thing

Hello everbody! I hope you are all having a marvelous summer, because I definitely am! :D I am excited to show you this manicure today because I have finally purchased a new glitter polish that I have been dying to get, and now I can show it to all of you!! enjoy :)

This gorgeous glitter polish is nails, inc. Connaught Square and is part of their 3D Glitters Special Effects collection. This picture doesn't even do this polish justice as it doesn't capture the amazing sparkle that reflects of the glitter to the naked eye. This polish is a mixture of tiny blue glitter and bigger pieces of hot purple hexagonal glitter in a clear base. I am in love <3

So obviously I used nails, inc. Connaught Square for the majority of my nails. My accent nail is OPI Alpine Snow with the leopard print from stamping plate m57 using Revlon Black Satin. Then I filled in the leopard spots with nails, inc. Connaught Square.

Here are a few more pictures. Don't forget to check the box for your reaction at the end of this post! Thanks for stopping by!! :)

NOTD: So Ready For Summer!

Well it's starting to feel like summer outside, and I cannot even wait for my classes to be over for the semester!! I will be leaving junior college after the next two weeks are over, and I am so excited to transfer to CSU Northridge and move on with my life!! :D
Today I have a summery manicure for you that was inspired by this awesome weather (I'm even wearing a sun dress today, yay!) Anyway, on to my nails. enjoy :)

For this manicure, I started out with Essie Sweet Talker. Then I added some yellow polka dots with ULTA Sun-Sational. I painted the sunglasses on my ring finger using Essie Watermelon (my favorite summer shade of pink) and Revlon Black Satin.

Happy summer, and thanks for stopping by! <3

NOTD: Pacific Sea Nettle

Hello again everyone!! :D I have just returned home from an awesome weekend trip to Monterey, CA. At the Monterey Bay Aquarium they have a whole exhibit dedicated to different kinds of jellyfish, so I chose to depict my favorite jellyfish (the Pacific Sea Nettles) in nail art! I really like how it turned out and I hope that you guys do too. enjoy :)

I used Revlon Royal for my beautiful blue base because it is semi-jelly and reminded of the intensely bright, but also dark blue background of their tank at the aquarium. I painted the jellyfish using Essie Braziliant. And below is a picture of these awesome and graceful jellyfish! :)

31 Day Nail Challenge: Day 28 (Inspired by a Flag)

So today, my dad came up with the genius idea to use the Olympic Flag as inspiration for todays, manicure... so here it is!! enjoy :) I used OPI Apline Snow (as always :P), ULTA Blue Streak, ULTA Sun-Sational, Revlon Black Satin, Essie Going Incognito, and ULTA Red Carpet Red.

PS: It was really difficult to hold my fingers like this so that the circles would be similar to the way that they are on the flag in terms of placement :P

31 Day Nail Challenge: Day 25 (Inspired by Fashion)

Today's challenge was Inspired by Fashion, I decided to use this dress that Sandra Bullock wore to a red carpet event. Unfortunately I am not sure which event, nor do I know who designed this dress... but I absolutely LOVE Sandra Bullock! She is by far my all time favorite actress :)

For this manicure I started with my favorite black polish: Revlon Black Satin. Then I freehand painted the blue accents with OPI Swimsuit... Nailed It!. Here are the pictures!! enjoy :)

31 Day Nail Challenge: Day 23 (Inspired by a Movie)

Hello lovely readers! Today's challenge was "Inspired by a Movie" and with the help of my little sister, I decided to use "Easy A" as my inspiration :) More specifically I based my design off of the black and pink corset Emma Stone's character, Olive Penderghast, wears in the movie. If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend it!! enjoy :)

Today I started with Revlon Black Satin, then layered on Essie A Cut Above to represent the pink accents on the corset. Then I freehand painted "A"s on all of my nails with white acrylic paint and then with ULTA Red Carpet Red. I also added little pink bows on my ring finger and thumb to represent the bows on the corset, and to make them look a little more girly and a little less like they were inspired by a horror movie :P. Here are the pictures :)

And this is my sweet little kitten Sammy holding ULTA Red Carpet Red: <3
I don't know why this picture didn't stay in the center when I posted it, but he's still cute ;)

31 Day Nail Challenge: Day 19 (Galaxy Nails)

Ok readers, I spent over three hours on this manicure and used 13 different colors, so this post is going to be kind of long and picture heavy in comparison to some of my latest posts. It took a lot of practice and a lot of messing around with the different colors in order to get nails that looked something like a real galaxy. And if you were wondering, yes; it is as difficult as it sounds. I started with a black base, then sponged on the other colors that you are about to see in different combinations until it looked the way I wanted it to, then I added extra "close-up stars" with dotting tools. This particular day of the challenge had me stressed out from the very beginning, so I am happy that it is done, and I'm actually pretty proud of the results! Let's take a look shall we? enjoy :)

PS: I couldn't label all of the colors I used in this post because I can only use 20 labels per post, so the brands of the polishes are labeled instead. sorry :/

First of all, I'm going to give you a break-down of all the colors I used.
From left to right: Revlon Black Satin, Essie French Affair, ULTA Coral Chic, China Glaze Purple Panic (Neon), OPI Alpine Snow, Zoya Julieanne, Sinful Colors Frenzy

China Glaze Fairy Dust, Zoya Charla, Essie Turquoise & Caicos, Ozotic 528, ULTA Limelight, and A-England Holy Grail. whew!

And now for the pictures you've been waiting for..... :)

Thanks for stopping by!! :D

If you're interested in trying this manicure out for yourself, I HIGHLY recommend watching this tutorial video from Emerald Sparkled!!

31 Day Nail Challenge: Day 18 (Half Moons)

Hello, I am extremely exhausted again tonight so this one will also be a short post. :P
I am not a huge fan of the Half Moon style of manicure, but I think that the one I've created is a little fun and classy without looking tacky. I hope you think so too, enjoy :)

This is sort of like a tape manicure, except I used binder hole reenforcement stickers instead of tape to get the rounded line. I started with Glitter Gal Dark Purple Sparkle, and painted Revlon Black Satin over the purple.
