Senior Ball Nails 2012

Hello everybody! I am so sorry, I totally forgot to post the Senior Ball manicures that I promised you all. I did custom acrylics for my sister and her friend. We designed the tips to match their dates' garters. I hope you like them! enjoy :)

Ahh!! so cute! :D And just for fun, here's another picture from Saturday night of my sister getting a smooch on the cheek from yours truly ;)

Okay, I guess it's time to give you some nail art. The purple color I used for this manicure is A-England Avalon, and the white (used for stamping) is OPI Alpine Snow. I used the stamping plate m57 for the lace and the flower.

Next up, is my sister's best friend Hayley. First, here's a picture of her with her ball date :)

I love these two! <3 Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of her date's garter that we matched her nails to, but it had white lace, turquoise ribbon, and hot pink flowers :) so cute!! We also neglected to take pictures of Hayley's nails until they were all trying to get out the door to go to their other friend's house to take more pictures haha so these photos aren't the best, but I'll show them to you anyway. 

The turquoise color I used here is Zoya Tallulah. I used the same stamping plate for the lace as I did for my sister's manicure. I used a dotting tool for the little pink flowers with Essie Watermelon, and I added a dot of A-England Merlin to the center of the smaller flower. I also added China Glaze Fairy Dust for a little extra sparkle :). 

And here is a close-up. Granted, it is a little blurry, I apologize, but you get the idea...

NOTD: Pretty in Pink

Hello lovely readers! :) Today's manicure is really simple, I was at a loss for creative ideas when I started it last night. But I ended up really liking it, so I'm posting it for you all to enjoy. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!!

I used OPI Pink Friday and Essie A Cut Above for this manicure. I am loving this rosy pink combo!

NOTD: So Ready For Summer!

Well it's starting to feel like summer outside, and I cannot even wait for my classes to be over for the semester!! I will be leaving junior college after the next two weeks are over, and I am so excited to transfer to CSU Northridge and move on with my life!! :D
Today I have a summery manicure for you that was inspired by this awesome weather (I'm even wearing a sun dress today, yay!) Anyway, on to my nails. enjoy :)

For this manicure, I started out with Essie Sweet Talker. Then I added some yellow polka dots with ULTA Sun-Sational. I painted the sunglasses on my ring finger using Essie Watermelon (my favorite summer shade of pink) and Revlon Black Satin.

Hot Pink Polka Dots (Inspired by Pshiiit.com)

Hello everyone! Sorry it's been so long since my last post, things have been so crazy with school and work and all that jazz. But the good news, is that I am back today to post another lovely manicure for you to check out! This was a fun one that I saw on Pshiiit.com, click the link to check it out!! :D It is essentially a polka dot fade (more dots at the tips, and fewer until they stop). My nails are a tad bit shorter, so my dots go all the way back to my cuticles, and instead of using black and white, I decided to use black and neon pink... I mean really, who here is not a fan of neon pink?? Anyway, I am happy we are having summer weather, but at the same time, I myself am under the weather (just a head cold) so things aren't quite as fun as they would be if I was 100% healthy, but that's life! :P Ok, well thanks for hanging in there for that little rant. Without further ado, the pictures!! enjoy :)

The colors you see here are OPI Alpine Snow and China Glaze Purple Panic (Neon).
Honestly, I think it should be called Pink Panic (Neon) but... whatever. :P

NOTD: Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all of my lovely readers! Sorry this post is going up so late in the day, I was busy spending time with my family today :) Even if you do not celebrate Easter, I hope you all had a wonderful Sunday. I have a festive little manicure for you guys today, enjoy :)


These are the colors I used (from left to right): OPI Alpine Snow, OPI Pink Friday, OPI Planks A Lot, Zoya Yummy, and ULTA Sun-Sational.

I started with OPI Alpine Snow for the base, then added the polka dots of pastel colors with  dotting tool. Some of them didn't come out quite ass even as I would have liked, but overall, I'm happy with how this manicure turned out. :)

NOTD: Pacific Sea Nettle

Hello again everyone!! :D I have just returned home from an awesome weekend trip to Monterey, CA. At the Monterey Bay Aquarium they have a whole exhibit dedicated to different kinds of jellyfish, so I chose to depict my favorite jellyfish (the Pacific Sea Nettles) in nail art! I really like how it turned out and I hope that you guys do too. enjoy :)

I used Revlon Royal for my beautiful blue base because it is semi-jelly and reminded of the intensely bright, but also dark blue background of their tank at the aquarium. I painted the jellyfish using Essie Braziliant. And below is a picture of these awesome and graceful jellyfish! :)
